The Mobile App Is Live
September 05, 2026
I’ve added a demonstration app to the OpenCdsi project. It is an Android,
off-line first vaccine forecasting tool for clinicians.
OpenCdsi Has a New Website!
August 27, 2026
I got tired of the old site so I built one with a little more pizzazz. Or is
that “rizz?”
I Lied - I'm not done!
August 25, 2026
In my last post I said that I was done with OpenCdsi.org, I’d had enough
of failure when trying to implement the CDC Logic Spec. The thing is, I’d
only put the project on the back-burner, I hadn’t taken it off the stove.
Time To Move On
October 05, 2024
It is with a certain level of relief that I’ve decided to walk away from the OpenCdsi project.
After 10 years I have made little progress with actually implementing the vaccine information
system Jeffrey and I had envisioned back when we started Worldvax.
API Browser Changes
September 24, 2024
I’ve made some changes to the API browser at https://api.opencdsi.org.
API Update
July 07, 2024
I’ve updated both the API endpoints and the UI for the CDSi Browser.
Evaluation Milestone Has Been Reached!
December 12, 2022
My last post on the software front was more aspirational than reality.
I ended up doing some major refactoring for a more OOP feel to the
code.
Changes to the OpenCDSi API
December 05, 2022
The REST-ish Supporting Data API has been expanded to include vaccine groups,
antigen series, testcase medical endpoints, and UI catalogs.
Thoughts on Diagramming
November 30, 2022
When I was first introduced to the Logic Specification for AICP Recommendations
I thought it was a marvelous document. Here was my tax dollars doing something
meaningful. I thought that I could build the system as it was described in the
document. I was wrong.
More Progress!
November 20, 2022
I’m back at it; refactoring namespaces and classes to make using the library code easier.
And I'm Stalled Again
November 06, 2022
After making so much progress on the evaluation code I decided to take a month off. Just not
think about it. Don’t read the Logic Spec. Don’t talk about it. Take a break.
OMG! Progress!!
August 09, 2022
After 6 weeks of hacking I’ve actually made some progress on the vaccine evaluation code. This is more progress than I made
in the 9 years previously.
The OpenCDSi API
June 22, 2022
Now you can browse the CDSi supporting data and defined testcases at
the CDSi Browser.
About the OpenCdsi Project
June 20, 2022
The goal of the project is to create clinical decision support software for
immunizations based on the CDSi Logic Spec developed by the Centers for Disease Control.
